I have been eating a lot more gyros and cucumbers since I started the mediterranean lifestyle, and I have loved it! My favorite part is the greek yogurt cucumber dill dip!
I put this on my gyros, pitas, dip veggies in it and just about anything and everything! It is so easy to make and the calorie count is so low for a creamy dip!
I even got my dad, a typical Texas man who eats a diet of mostly potatoes and red meat, to like it! (I also got him to like hummus, another recipe I will share soon).
This dip is very tangy and creamy! Its like a healthier, tangier ranch.
If you are vegetarian, a great way to eat a gyro is with falafel, romaine, chopped red onions, cucumbers and the yogurt dip. Don’t forget to sprinkle on some feta cheese (but not too much).
For a snack, Ill cut up some cucumber wedges and dip them in the dip. Carrots taste great with them too!
I have also tried the dip spread on a whole wheat bun with a black bean patty!
I hope you enjoyed this post, and be sure if you make the dip, to tag me in your photos: @repressingthecraz y for instagram or @repressingtay for twitter.
Check out last week’s Mediterranean Monday, here!
Until next time,
Have a beautiful day!
